This page explains what happens to the details you send us through this website, who can see them and how long we keep them. We never sell your information.

Who we are
W. Martin & Son Limited is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 07525681, at Bakers Lane, Black Notley, Braintree, Essex CM77 8QS. You can reach us on 01376 331136 or at info@wmartinandson.co.uk.
What we collect, and only when you send it
We collect nothing automatically. The only personal information we hold from this website is what you type into the contact form and send us: your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, your horse’s name if you give it, and the message you write.
Why we use it
To reply to you and to arrange the service you are asking about. That is the only reason. Our lawful basis is that the information is needed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you chose to send us.
Who else sees it
Your message is delivered to our own inboxes by Resend, an email delivery service, and this website is hosted by Vercel. Both process the information only to deliver it to us. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads, as it would for any website using that service.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not pass it to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag to measure how the site is used and which adverts lead to an enquiry. These set cookies in your browser when you arrive. A notice on your first visit tells you so and offers a way to switch them off, and you can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. If you switch them off we stop measuring you and clear those cookies.
We do not use them to identify you personally, we do not sell or share your information, and we do not run remarketing or advertising pixels from any other company. Google processes this data as our provider, and you can read how at policies.google.com/privacy. Our cookie policy lists exactly what each cookie does. The site works exactly the same either way.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and to keep proper business records, and we delete them when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email info@wmartinandson.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how this website handles your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
